Biking in Provence Day 1 – Villeneuve-les-Avignon to Graveson

Built in the 1st century AD, the Pont du Gard is the highest Roman aqueduct.

From Pont du Gard, we ended up passing through a cool little walled town, the name of which has been completely forgotten.

Near the end of the ride, we ended up visiting Abbey de Friglolet. Founded in the 10th century and abandoned in the 16th . . . only to be repopulated by monks of the Hieronymite Order in the 17th.

Our inn in Graveson turned out to be the ideal place to hang at the end of the ride.
